CRItique my own workI see a person with an outline of every destabilize such as the eyes, nose, tattoos, and the hoodie. I also see a dark/shady color scheme besides the hat which boldly stand out. the lines are clearly visible. the mood I feel coming from this piece is calm or relaxed. I think the artwork was a success but it can be better cause the face is kind of out of place and some of the lines are sloppy. 3 questions1: What are some reasons why artist make art? Art is a great way to express tour feelings or emotions. They Can let out their creativity in art and some. Just do it for fun or money. 2:what was your favorite material that you worked with this year?why? My favorite material this year was watercolor because you can easily blend or mix colors and I like how it comes out to be. You can also paint it in different ways such adding salt for an effect. 3: sketchbook drawing
I chose this drawing because I think it turned out pretty nice and it took me some time to do it. The word of the week was monster so i decided to draw a Predator next to an Alien, both are from movies that I enjoy watching. It helped me with shading a little, and adding detail cause the scales were kind of hard to do.

Drawing UnitThe sphere was the most helpful because it allowed me to practice shading and I needed this in my art
Composition: something's ingredients or constituents; the way in which a whole or mixture is made up.
Value: five elements consisting of line, form, texture, colour and pattern. Pros and cons
Pen- fine lines so u can have more detail but you can’t erase it Charcoal-very easy to shade but it’s messy and smudges easily Pencil-easy to use/erase Painting Warm UpsI learned to mix paints to make shades of brown and how to paint different types of textures.
The one that I’m going gn to use is the rock texture so that was the most helpful for me. I learned the most from trying to match the different colored of green, orange, and purple because I found out which colors to use to make the right tones/ shades. some ways to make brown are: mixing complementary colors, To tone down a color you have to add a lighter color such as white or grey The Idea of PlaceThe acrylic sphere was the most helpful warm up for me because i got to shade and I used different shades and tones of red and I think it came out great.
I didn’t take a photo of my painting while it was in progress but here is my sketch
I painted a place in a park that my family and I would go to.
The most challenging thing about this painting was the water cause I have never painted water before and I didn’t know how. I think the best part of my painting is the bridge with the stone pillars and the river stones. First I sketched the outlines of every thing with pencil. Then I painted the dark grey wall in the back and after that the bridge then I started to do the stones and the ground. I did the water last cause I didn’t know how to do it. Water color warm upsI found the children’s book illustration the most helpful because it allowed me to blend and shade with the watercolor
I like how bright it is and the texture that it leaves I find it difficult to have to wait for it to dry before you add another layer and that is time consuming. Watercolor PerspectiveFor my water color painting I used 1 point perspective
I got my inspiration from photos I found online and I mixed them up to get my finished product. I found it hard to add small details The warm ups amp picked helped me out with this project because it allowed me to practice and get use to it more PortraitsMUlti media projectSign languageClay “box”/ krusty krabPortrait/ in progress🤷🏽♂️Final projecT/ wiz KhalifaIllustration Friday |
